I present to you with pride Ghetto Boy, a young electronic musician from the vicinity of Dubrovnik, Croatia. This is his first musical work. Recording beats and loops in an artisanal way, I have used them as the basis of five tracks that I have been creating about their rhythmic proposals and their ideas about electronic music as he understands it. From this collaboration via the internet "Back Tracks" was born.

The theme that gives title to the EP reflects its creation hideout from paint cans and search for sounds that feed its inner music to express it to the world later. There is a certain ocher color, oxidized, at the same time as the primary scream demanding freedom from the end of childhood and the beginning of youth. this is how the color of the back tracks sounds.

In "Dubrovnik Shores" Ghetto Boy recalls when he was a child he went to the beaches near Dubrovnik. The past embracing the future, perhaps...

"Requiem for a Palestinian Friend" is a cry of pain knowing the death of a friend via the Internet, a dear friend and will never be forgotten. A friend armed with stones before the automatic weapons of Goliath. The most recent memory. The lament.

"Colors on the Wall" is a jump of imagination to sprinkle with its cans of paint and its rage transformed into hope those walls of shame that both begin to proliferate in the oldworld. It is a subject with great force where it regains a certain joy, a certain freedom.

And, finally, "mOhO", as written, although it was born before we met, it has benefited from its ideas about the flight forward, about transcending the oldworld in some way, sick with mold, moving from the back tracks, that are not from behind, towards the newworld...
